The Folding Gem Camera was by manufactured by Rochester Camera Mfg. Co. from approximately 1895 to 1907. Designed and advertised as an extremely compact camera for cyclists. It was constructed of mahogany wood covered in seal grain leather. The lens and shutter were built into a highly polished wood front. Includes a high quality red leather bellows and polished brass hardware. The camera made exposures on 4 x 5 inch plates.

Shutter works!!, Bulb works! Great condition bellows and rail movement, great "leveler" w/ball bearing, nice side finder, great condition mahogany wood, nice polish, overall wonderful piece of timeless photography, for the user or collector - Plate holders will likely need some love/seals though still in great condition
